Papua New Guinea's Parliament is set to hold an emergency sitting to pass a bill setting up a Restoration Authority to ramp up rebuilding efforts after last months 7.5 magnitude earthquake.

The death toll has topped 100 and there's been progress in access to the state of emergency areas most affected.
Government expects the next phase of rebuilding support to ramp up, after the Parliament session passes the Restoration Authority bill.
The New Zealand government announced last week additional aid to be sent to PNG.
