Prime Minister Bill English is promising lower tax for low-income families, should National be elected for a fourth term.
He acknowledges the pressures Pacific families face with rising housing prices and day-to-day living costs.
"We recognise Pacific families have come under real pressure so from the 1st of April next year, their tax will come back a little bit and they'll get higher child payments."
English also adds that thousands of families in high rental areas will get an additional $100 of accommodation supplement, depending on their incomes.
