It's business as usual at the Aitutaki Lagoon Private Island Resort in the Cook Islands, and guests are back in holiday mode following yesterday's fire that engulfed three bungalows and a restaurant.
Resort owner Tata Crocombe says he was impressed by more than a hundred local residents who rallied to assist Aitutaki's fire service truck, normally stationed at the airport, to help manage the flames.
Kiwi fire-fighters on holiday at the multi-million dollar getaway were part of the first responders.
There were no injuries to staff or guests at the resort.
Crocombe says all staff are back at work and 33 other bungalows are all fully occupied.
"It's not even going to knock us down. We're up and running already. The resort is fully functional. The guests have got everything that they need - spas, gift shops and everything else."
