The accomplished band formed in Samoa in 1968 and have entertained scores of listeners over the last five decades.

The family band was formed by former school teacher Reverend Iosefa Lale Peteru and his wife Vini, composing hits that scored plenty of air-play on local radio stations throughout the 1970s.

Punialava'a will perform at the Pacific Music Awards at Auckland's Vodafone Events Centre this Thursday.
