Pacific Games organisers for Samoa in 2019 have announced Savaii as the host island for the Pacific Games boxing events.
Chief executive for the big event, Falefata Hele Matatia, says the decision to move to Samoa's big island is to promote inclusiveness across Samoa as the host nation.

A total of 16 compulsory sports codes including netball, rugby 7s, open water swimming and sailing will feature across venues in the capital city of Apia.
So far, 14 Pacific nations have registered in boxing which will bring over 300 athletes and officials to Savaii.
The Samoa 2019 Pacific Games will mark the return of archery and badminton to the programme, they were not a feature of the Papua New Guinea Games in 2015.
Hockey, karate and softball codes hosted by Papua New Guinea will not be on the programme for the Games in Samoa.
