New Zealand Warriors centre Solomone Kata hopes to represent Tonga in this year's Rugby League World Cup in New Zealand.
Mate Ma'a Tonga (MMT) is one of four Pacific nations participating in the World Cup which kicks off in October.
The 22-year-old says nothing compares to representing his homeland.
"You get emotional playing for your own country," he says. "It's not the same if you're playing for another country so I'm really looking forward to it."
Kata says his family plays a big role in driving his decision to play for the Kingdom.
MMT's first game is against Samoa at Hamilton's Waikato Stadium on November 4.
