North Queensland Cowboys superstar Jason Taumalolo has chosen to play for Tonga over New Zealand at the upcoming Rugby League World Cup.
The 24-year-old forward says he intends to switch between the Kiwis and Mate Ma'a Tonga for the rest of his representative career.
He hopes the decision will help Tonga's World Cup campaign.
Taumalolo, who won the prestigious Dally M medal last year, has previously played 10 games for the Kiwis and three for Tonga.
He'll face his former teammates when New Zealand play Tonga on November 11 at Hamilton's Waikato Stadium.
